Commercial Stainless-Steel Bag Filter System #2 304SS | 30m³/Hr* HPF-SS-2
Commercial Bag Filter System
This system is compatible with most standard size #2 filter bags. It is supplied with DN50(2”) Flange Fittings (HG/T 20615-2009 ANSI/ASME). The full Body including internal bag mounting strainer is constructed from commercial grade 304 Stainless Steel.
The System has adjustable stainless-steel legs to adjust the height of the bag filter system to allow easy access to the outlet or to fit a custom installation.
Simple screw cap with EPDM Seal for increased resistance to chemicals and oils and a higher temperature rating. A pressure gauge and vent valve are included for safe monitoring and maintenance.
The HPF-SS-2 is considered a high pressure bag filter suitable for applications not exceeding 12.8 BAR (230 psi). It is also suitable for domestic or commercial hot water/liquid filtration up to 80°C
For applications over 38°C ensure you use a suitable temperature resistant bag rather than standard PP material.

Installation
As per Australian Plumbing Standards, this unit must be installed by a Qualified Plumber in accordance to the manufacturer’s instructions and requirements. Failure to follow these guidelines may void warranty and insurance.
Mounting The System
This filter housing will require a vertical installation on a solid flat surface.
If installing this system on a flat slab, ensure that the slab is at least 100 x 100 (cm) for structural stability. Locate the correct mounting position and adjust leg height by loosening the bolts clamping the legs to the system. When in the desired position, re-tighten the bolts firmly.
Plumbing The System
As with all filtration, it is always recommended to install a bypass around the filter and add isolation valves before and after the system for easy maintenance. Not only will this simplify filter changes, but it will also allow you to maintain unfiltered water flow should there be an issue with the unit, or if the filter is not required at that time.
Ensure that there is a 1-way check valve installed to prevent vacuum on the housing. Excessive vacuum may damage the housing or components.
Using Filter Bags
The stainless-steel bag filter system has an internal SS 304 basket for housing the filter bag. This basket provides structural support for the filter bag to avoid perforation or tearing, resulting in a bypass. The filter bag should be unfolded and placed into the basket, with the rim of the filter bag touching the lip of the basket.
When under water pressure and flow, the filter bag will be forced into the basket and the bag will inflate to provide maximum surface area for filtration.
Filter bags are designed to be cleaned and re-used until their structural integrity has been compromised or the filter material has been saturated.
